Investigation: More Data Collection

Another data gathering assignment I was given in the Well-being & Happiness course is to choose 2 topics, from a very open and vague grid of different topics, to observe for two days. And one extra topic at the end of each day to observe retrospectively.

For legibility, the paragraphs above are repeated here:

Top graph

Emotional Energy is tracked according to how emotionally wellI was feeling at the time—how much love & support I am capable of providing to myself and/or others. The number 4 representsthe most emotional energy (I am capable of supporting myself and others emotionally) and 0 is no energy at all (I am on the veryedge of breaking down). Social Interactivity is tracked based on my behavior; how responsive I am to others. Number 4 on the scale represents themost social participation (above what is expected of me in thatsituation) and 0 is no response at all (completely avoiding people). The number of people around me was tracked retrospectively. The insignificant social media responses were not tracked.

My mental learning and physical activity were both tracked retrospectively.

Bottom graph

I retrospectively mapped the unexpected plans/events that occurred that day from the time I woke up to the time I went to sleep. The largerthe circle, the more stress it caused. The pink color implies that the stress this particular plan/event caused was because it interrupted my original plan for the day, versus the yellow which is neutral. The cross means that the responsibility that came with the plan/event is whatcaused the stress, and the circles around the spots suggest the stresscaused by the ambiguity of the plan/event.
